Adam Kempenaar Filmspotting ...honest and messy...about grief and the complexities of family relationships. Rated: 4/5 Jun 15, 2024 Full Review Bilge Ebiri New York Magazine/Vulture A film about the world-changing power of artistic communion, about how creativity, compassion, and forgiveness — of oneself and others — are all pit stops on the same human journey. Jun 14, 2024 Full Review Katie Walsh Tribune News Service This is a beautifully life-affirming fable about the power of art to heal, but really, it’s the people making the art that do the work. “Ghostlight” is a stunning and incredibly moving tribute to that process. Rated: 3.5/4 Jun 14, 2024 Full Review Chase Hutchinson Collider For every moment where it can risk starting to feel cloying and a little clunky in parts, the care and charm of the performances make it a production worth applauding by the time it all comes together. Rated: 7/10 Jun 17, 2024 Full Review Murjani Rawls Substream Magazine Healing, understanding, absolution, truth, and guidance are some of the ways art ushers us through the darker periods throughout our lives. O’Sullivan and Thompson weave a refreshing allegorical usage for seeing things from another perspective. Jun 17, 2024 Full Review Patrick McDonald HollywoodChicago.com The intrepid filmmaker duo of Thompson & O'Sullivan are back with an illuminating story of the redemption of self. The multi-textured emotions, delivered precisely from a stellar ensemble, is soul rendering. W/a link to Alex/Kelly interview. Heart Light! Rated: 4.5/5 Jun 17, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Jeff J Thoroughly enjoyed this film. Yes, it is a bit messy, and all the better for it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/17/24 Full Review Jenny E Not a dry eye in the house. Will make you laugh and cry, great for everyone in the family. An instant favorite for me. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/17/24 Full Review leonard s beautiful story with many surprises. well acted by all. one minute you in tears and the next you are laughing. story develop slowly so just stay with it and you will be rewarded. one of the best movie i seen this year. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/17/24 Full Review Alex V Unwatchable cartoonish gimmickry. We walked out. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/18/24 Full Review Timothy D Bring tissues. I regret not having them. This film felt like a personal gift. My tears could not stop flowing at the screening. I almost jumped out my seat from joy seeing Dolly De Leon on screen. Yesterday was Philippine Independence Day, and it was so special to watch Dolly slay. She spoke English with a Tagalog accent. That is extremely rare to see on screen. Others have worked harder to get rid of the accent their whole lives. Dolly just showed us up. The film deals with the topic of unresolved grief. My Father passed away during the height of Covid. The hospital was very generous with providing their iPad for 1 hr a day. My mom, aunts and uncle, close friends all spoke to my dad for 10 days. He was in a coma and it was tough to see him in that manner. On the 10th day he passed away. I did not get to say good bye in person. Understandably, no one can visit. He was cremated shortly after. 3 days later when I picked up his ashes, it hit me hard not having closure. To say good bye in person. My tears kept flowing and I feel so embarrassed, because I was in front of the actors and directors. I wish I was all the way in the back.
