Jake Cole Slant Magazine Like so many wuxia classics, the film’s plot is at once unnecessarily convoluted and little more than justification for moving from one stunt set piece to the next. Feb 18, 2024 Full Review Joey O'Bryan Austin Chronicle Rated: 4.5/5 Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Sean Gilman The Chinese Cinema The Heroic Trio holds up well, making for a highly entertaining generic exercised anchored by the performances of its three stars (plus Anthony Wong, who steals every scene he’s in). Jun 10, 2024 Full Review James Kendrick Q Network Film Desk It is meant to be comical and gross and sentimental and exciting all at the same time, and at various points it works like gangbusters. But, at other times it feels strained and kind of cheap Rated: 2/4 Apr 25, 2024 Full Review Aaron Neuwirth Why So Blu You can feel the glee in this one, as it aims to deliver a lot of fun and succeeds, heroically so, in fact. Rated: 4/5 Feb 27, 2024 Full Review Rudie Obias Battleship Pretension Although The Heroic Trio is a bit convoluted with its plot, it’s a wonderful showcase of action cinema with performances that shine through and through — especially when all three of the superheroines join forces to form the titular “Heroic Trio.” Feb 22, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

freeson w It's hard to explain this movie, which feels like a bonkers fever dream than a coherent story, but it was fun nonetheless! This is a wild, crazy ride and in many ways, stretches the filmmaking of live-action cinema more than any superhero movie. It's hilarious. Bonkers. Campy. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Great, as long as you appreciate it for what it is and was meant to be: sheer comic book style entertainment. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review don s Basically a Chinese super-hero movie featuring 3 lovely martial artists out to kick a demon's tale. The story is a jumbled mess - I didn't get the demon part until the end - but the choreography for the fight scenes is well done, and any movie featuring Maggie Cheung is a winner in my eyes. Decidedly different but enjoyable. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member An example of what future kung fu typed of action movies should have the same style. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member A genra bender. Superheroes, kung fu, gun fu, the supernatural, all taking place in a world similar to that of Tim Bruton's Gotham. Quite a ride. My only complaint was the wires, they didn't even try and hide them. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Great for Anita fans, however it's a bit corny...
