The film’s perspective shift creates a quiet, dread-filled character study. The movie reckons with the fact that the main draw of a slasher has always been the villain, and all else is irrelevant. Oddly, the vapid plot feels integral to that reckoning.

This movie neglected, neigh refused, to make any of their characters interesting! They kept almost introducing us to interesting characters, like the Park Ranger, only to have him misplace his brain and then get mercilessly dunked on! What an idiot! They were all idiots though. Instead of making the characters smart and the killer smarter they just made everyone flat and dumb. This movie set itself up so well. Its beautifully shot and its an awesome premise, but the characters ruin it. And the worst part is that its all the creators fault. They could have easily written the characters with more depth, but they refused.

Movie isn’t worth the price of admission. Says it’s told from the pov of the killer but only about 50% of it is. as a big horror fan i was so excited for this. even the monster design was uninspiring. only good thing was the scenery and one really cool kill scene
