Look, I do genuinely believe that rotten tomatoes profession critics ratings can be quite insightful, and sure it's a soapy movie and bla bla, but it is PEAK 90s nostalgia. Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock SLAY. I'm not gonna sit here and analyze everything wrong with it; it's cute af. I guess my one criticism is that it sort of positions Kdman's character and her lack of settling down as a bit of a negative versus Bullock's leaning into a normal family lifestyle.

Practical Magic bounces between being a sappy love story to abuse story to ladies in striped socks jumping off roofs with umbrellas. It's got that 90s vibe and Bullock and Kidman - but not a lot more.
