As the years have passed, they've seen each other less and less, so when the chance to reunite for a summer camp reunion arises, they all take it, some begrudgingly and others excitedly. Each of their lives might not be where they'd imagined, but one thing is for sure -- Nora, Ginny, and Mary need each other, and summer camp reminds them why. Amy Nicholson FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) It's like buying a cheap popsicle at the grocery store. On the right day, it's fine. Jun 15, 2024 Full Review Katie Walsh Tribune News Service While there are pops of piquancy in Landon’s script, her direction and the performances (with the exception of Woodard) fail to inspire much more than a shrug. “Summer Camp” is only mildly interesting as another entry in the Keaton-verse. Rated: 2/4 May 31, 2024 Full Review Thelma Adams AARP Movies for Grownups Through good gags and misfires, the movie is mild entertainment with the advantage of bringing this big band of mature actors together for a serving of fun with a side of hard-won wisdom. Rated: 3/5 May 31, 2024 Full Review Andy Klein FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) I just wish they could come up with a script for these things that wasn't totally by-the-numbers limp comedy. Jun 15, 2024 Full Review Bill Newcott The Saturday Evening Post Keaton should fire her producer. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/10/24 Full Review retiredlady Loved the cast and the locations and the pace and the message. Nice to see a movie with grownups, even when they are silly. Both wit and physical humor - we laughed. Some language might not be appropriate for young kids, but they know a lot these days.
