Max Weiss Baltimore Magazine Schoenbrun understands that, yes, we can be mesmerized, even zombified by these glowing images, but she’s not here to condemn television. She’s here to pay tribute. Rated: 3/4 Jun 8, 2024 Full Review Adam Kempenaar Filmspotting In its blurring of reality and fantasy, I Saw the TV Glow compels us into this mysterious, scary new space. Rated: 3.5/5 May 25, 2024 Full Review Brian Truitt USA Today "Glow" blends the real and the surreal in a neon-drenched nightmare that leaves a trail of thematic breadcrumbs for its audience. Rated: 3/4 May 19, 2024 Full Review John Serba Decider There’s a strange, arch sensibility to it, with purposely flattened performances reflecting the characters’ desire to burst from their bodies and discover themselves and their identities and their truth... Jun 17, 2024 Full Review Stephanie Malone Morbidly Beautiful Even if it doesn’t entirely work for you on a narrative level, it’s hard to deny the visionary artistry, style, and daring creativity that Schoenbrun brings to their confident and compelling sophomore feature.   Rated: 4/5 Jun 15, 2024 Full Review Alison Gillmor Winnipeg Free Press Perhaps the scariest thing about this film is that these ordinary memories seem far less palpable than the ever-present glow of the TV screen. Sky Good. Devestating but good. Will have you feeling raw by the end. Also, killer soundtrack. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/17/24 Full Review Mr. Hollywood Nothing special. Tired of filmmakers who make films where its up to the audience to interpret. All it means is they themselves cant make up their mind so just leaves it open ended. Its lazy Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/11/24 Full Review Kim The ending left me feeling isolated, sad, but, ultimately, perceived. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/17/24 Full Review josh h The story here is one of immense sadness. Certain points could have been expanded upon to increase their impact but the overall theme still gets across. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/18/24 Full Review Emely This was the weirdest movie ever. I was absolutely confused until I wasn’t if that makes any sense. A few questions but when I read more into the creation of this I understood 10x better. I fell in love with the visuals as they seriously made this movie. The amount of symbolism and small details that truly went into the movie was incredible. I hadn’t heard about this movie AT ALL until my sister told me she wanted to watch it. I was very nervous but I was not at all disappointed and I’m very happy I was able to watch in theatres. *warning* the movie was VERY loud in some moments that totally freaked me out as I have some sensory issues. It was totally out of nowhere but it worked with the movie. I genuinely loved this movie. It was a bit slow in the beginning but I felt like it was worth it. And to know the true meaning behind it made the movie all the more meaningful to me and want to rewatch it as often as I can. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/17/24 Full Review Chaz A very powerful psychological drama, everyone watching this film will undoubtedly come away with a different experience hence my score. I recommend at least one watch. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/17/24 Full Review Read all reviews
